Our Level 3 diploma in early year’s education provides you with the knowledge and experience you need to support children’s early learning and development.

You will be taught how children’s development matters, how their physical, emotional, social, cognitive and communication all play a part in shaping our children learning and development.

We will teach you the skills you will need to observe, plan and deliver planned activities to support children’s all-round development while maintaining the safety of all those within the setting.

This course requires an assessment of your practical skills within your working environment. It is essential that you secure a placement that can provide you with a suitably qualified teacher and workplace assessor who can observe you, comment on your skills and write a report to meet the assessment requirements. This direct observation will be used as evidence towards your qualification. Methods of assessment could include:

  • Direct observation of practice

  • Witness evidence when directed by the sector skills assessment strategy

  • Professional discussion

  • Reflection on own practice in real work situations
